Mapofnab meeting date 15 April 2005

The meeting of mapofnab group started at 3 pm in nab premise. Mr. Arun Mehta, Mrs. Sreeja, Mr Anubhav and Mr. Saurabh were present in the meeting. First of all the group started discussion on menu system of LIPI. It was suggested that menu system should be prepared in hindi language. The group discussed on the already prepared menu system for LIPI. Then group started discussion on detailed shortcut commands for LIPI. It was suggested that first of all it should be sorted out that which function frequently used by an user. It was also suggested that arrow keys should be used as a main shortcut keys for LIPI. In this way pressing up arrow one time could be used to read previous line and pressing up arrow twice could be used for reading previous sentence. In the same way pressing left arrow once could be used for reading previous character while pressing left arrow twice could be used for reading previous word. It was felt that it need further discussion on this suggestion. Then team from Krishna engineering college, ghaziabad joined this meeting at 4 pm. Then both group discussed about how both group could work together to work on linux plateform to develop some products for vh and blind persons. It was decided that a team of mapofnab group will attend a joint workshop and training programming for linux operation to be held in ghaziabad during first week of may. The final date will be announced later. Follwing tasks have been decided to work for 1. A detailed shortcut commands list will be prepared for LIPI system 2. Programming of LIPI word processor will be started. In the first phase menu system will be designed. 3. A list of frequently used shortcut commands in a word processor will be prepared..
