All the group members had gathered at NAB at 3 pm. Mr. Dinesh Kaushal had been invited because the group has now decided to work on the SAFA screen reader. SAFA needs to be improved, its bugs need to be eliminated so that a beta version of the product can be released in the market.

As a part of developing the understanding of SAFA and equipping the group members with the knowledge of essential programming concepts and tools, the members have identified tasks for themselves.

They are as follows:

1. understand Tree view controls in VB 6 2. Understand Class 3. Understand Object 4. Understand DLL 5. Read SAFA documentation 6. look up jaws scripting

The following tasks need to performed on SAFA as a priority

7. In the keyboard class the keydown event function needs to be broken down into smaller parts 8. getcommandstring & gethelpstring are two functions that get executed on keypress – need to understand 9. check out conconfiguration file structure 10. avtiveapplicationhandler object needs to be studied (of type I application handler) 11. currentreader & generalreader objects - understanding to be developed
