May 14, 2005 the meeting of mapofnab group started at 3 pm in nab premise. mr. arun mehta, mr. mukesh, mr. anubhav, mr. satbeer and mr. saurabh were present in the meeting. first of all mr. mehta demonstrated about a new installer. then mr. satbeer demonstrated the braille keyboard program. then all members discussed in details about lipi word processor. all members discussed about what more features should be added in this word processor project. after discussion following features have been finalised to include in this lipi word processor. 1. This lipi word processor will support hindi typewriter keyboard layout because this word processor is being developed for those hindi typist who are shifting to computer from typewriter. then it was felt that it will be better if this word processor will support hindi typewriter keyboard layout. in later addition other hindi keyboard layout like inscript and traditional can be incorporated in this word processor. 2. this word processor will support hindi and english braille keyboard layout. 3. the menu system of this word processor will be designed in tree view control. in this case the menu system will be in vertical manner rather than standard horizontal manner. because menu editor of visual basic does not support unicode. so it has been decided that the menu system of this lipi word processor will be designed in hindi in tree view control. 4. as this word processor will not use any common dialog control of visual basic. so separate will windows will be designed for new, open, save and print dialog box. these all windows will be custom built so that this word processor can better capture the content of all controls of these all dialog boxes. 5. a separate text box will be added at the lower corner of this word processor to display currently typed or readable character in big font size. this will help low vision user to see currently typed or readable character more better.
as the actual programming of this word processor has been started, so these all features have been decided to incorporate in the word processor.
